The New Testament records thirteen post-resurrection appearances of Jesus. In at least four of these, Jesus mentions the gospel going to the nations (Luke 24:36–49; Matthew 28:16-20; Acts 1:1–11, 9:1–18). Since the birth of the church in the New Testament, the hope of the resurrection has fueled and sustained the spread of the gospel to the nations.

Someone said, “The heart of the mission is Christ, the source of the mission is his Resurrection, and the power of the mission is the Holy Spirit he imparts to us. With this mission, we, his disciples, bring him to others and work to unite all in him.”

Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, What are you doing for others? Martin Luther King Jr.

Antigua, Guatemala, celebrates Holy Week by creating beautiful carpets made from colored sawdust, flowers, pine needles, and even fruits to adorn the streets for the processions to walk over. This tradition symbolizes the fleeting nature of life and honors the sacred path. These intricate carpets, which take a team of 20 people over 12 hours to create, will be destroyed in just seconds as the processions pass over them.

It’s wonderful to see our sponsored students building a relationship with God! A note from Kevin’s mother, “I wanted to share with you that yesterday was a very blessed day for us. Kevin decided to be baptized in water, and it was a great blessing.”

PRINCIPE de PAZ

hogar de niñas

One of the organizations we support is the Prince of Peace Girls Home. The care provided to the girls includes medical, dental, and vision services, as well as mental health counseling and spiritual guidance. Each girl is introduced to the unconditional love of Jesus. Your donations help these girls lead healthy lives and develop lasting relationships with Jesus.

In February, we sent funds to purchase school supplies for 20 children in Honduras. For five of these children, it was the first day of school; without assistance, they wouldn’t have had the necessary supplies to start their classes.

San Juan

The food bags we took to San Juan in February have been distributed. From María, “We are deeply grateful for your help towards these families in need. They were super thankful for the food supplies. We chose the widows and the orphans to bless them with these bags of food; it will help them a lot. May God bless each one of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? Romans 10:14

There are three great truths about God:

~ God loves the world (John 3:16)

~ God has unlimited resources to reach the world (Psalm 50:10)

~ God channels these resources through His own people (1 Corinthians 16:1-3; 2 Corinthians 8-9)

How does God channel his resources through his people? One method seen in the New Testament is through Faith Promise Mission giving:

* Acts 11:29-30 – This passage tells the story of each person in the church at Antioch participating in a cross-cultural offering. This predominantly Gentile church gave to Jewish churches in Judea.

* 1 Corinthians 16:1-2 – This passage is an admonishment for each person in the church at Corinth to give to missions each Sunday.

* 2 Corinthians 8:1-5 – Depicts several churches in the province of Macedonia giving beyond their financial ability by faith to missionaries, Paul and Silas.

* 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 – Defines mission giving for each believer within their local church. They are to give to world missions as God impresses their hearts.

If you are not currently donating to missions through your local church, please consider supporting missions through Partners in Missions. Your donation will be used 100% according to your wishes and is tax-deductible. You can contribute as a one-time donation or monthly, and any amount is greatly appreciated.
