Christmas for our Orphans

For the past few years, PiM has funded the “Christmas for Our Orphans” event in Guatemala. This annual Christmas party includes games, gifts, and fun activities for the children. Additionally, we provide the workers with gifts and/or bonuses to recognize their dedicated service to the children. We are incredibly thankful for those who have generously contributed to make Christmas special for these abandoned and abused children. They deserve the chance to celebrate the greatest gift of all: God’s Son. We hope you will join us again this year in giving the orphans at Mimi’s House a wonderful Christmas!

Hello, my name is Isaías. I would like to share that I am doing very well in school this year. I was chosen to be a flag bearer in my classroom. My favorite subjects are math and English. I hope to see you soon. May God bless you and your whole family.

Program Note: In Guatemala, students with good grades may be chosen as flag bearers. They carry the Guatemalan flag or their school’s flag during civic ceremonies and other school activities. Being chosen as a flag bearer is a special recognition of their academic achievement.

October Trip

During our October trip, Karla volunteered at Breaking Cycles, while Karvin attended CIID, the International Convention of the Spanish Church of God in Latin America, and spent time with the girls at Prince of Peace.

Three hundred church leaders and families from eighteen different countries attended the CIID Conference.

Breaking Cycles

I had a great time at Breaking Cycles, enjoying crafts with the kids and sharing meals and devotions with the staff. I also attended three home visits to learn more about their application process for families seeking assistance with beds for their children or room construction.

Breaking Cycles has an amazing staff! We shared many laughs as we attempted to communicate in each other’s languages. Alejandro was a fantastic and patient translator, and a couple of the women spoke enough English to help as well. I hope to visit them again soon! Next time, I’ll be sure to take pictures with them.
