Christmas for Our Orphans

For the past few years, PiM has funded the “Christmas for Our Orphans” event in Guatemala. This annual Christmas party includes games, gifts, and fun activities for the children. Additionally, the workers are provided with gifts and/or bonuses to recognize their dedicated service to the children. We are incredibly thankful for those who have generously contributed to make Christmas special for these abandoned and abused children. They deserve the chance to celebrate the greatest gift of all: God’s Son. We hope you will join us again this year in giving the orphans at Mimi’s House a wonderful Christmas!

We talk of the second coming; half the world has never heard of the first. Oswald Smith

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We are seeking sponsors for our students in 2026. Sponsoring a student costs between $35 and $50 per month, but any contribution is greatly appreciated! Your donations help provide children with nutritious food, medical care, and educational scholarships.

If you would like to sponsor a specific child, contribute to “Christmas for Our Orphans,” or make a donation for Children of Lake Atitlan, please visit our Tithely page: PiM Tithely. Under the Fund section, select “Kids in Krisis.”

For any questions or more information, feel free to contact me at karla41973@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support!

Peru Trip

Karvin and Dennis spent a busy week in Peru to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of D.S. Warner School. Shortly after arriving on Monday, they participated in a parade with the students and took pictures with each class. On Tuesday, they attended student competitions and activities. The excitement continued on Wednesday when the school hosted an event featuring students as mini chefs, showcasing various Peruvian dishes to sample. On Thursday, the school held a science fair where students displayed projects on how to make soap, candles, medicine for the flu, and water pumps for gardens. On Friday morning, they enjoyed another parade, and that evening, a three-hour program featuring drama and music performances from the classes took place. It sounds like it was a great celebration for the school!

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” Romans 10:14–17

On November 18-19, forty-eight church leaders from Guatemala gathered for a series of conferences, worship sessions, and planning for the International Convention of the Church of God in Latin America, which is set to take place in Guatemala in October 2026. During this event, two men, Felipe and Luis, responded to God’s call to pursue pastoral ministry. They plan to enroll in online seminary training as they work towards planting new churches.
