Mission Team – June 25th-30th

The team at our Santa Maria church, with Pastors Edgar and Carlos

The team just got back from our latest trip. Our goal was to share PiM’s ministry with them, so we visited several places in just a few days! We went to Mimi’s House orphanage, Santa Maria de Jesus, Antigua and San Juan.

We attended a youth service, children’s service, held babies, and took lots of pictures!

Missionaries are very human folks, just doing what they are asked. Simply a bunch of nobodies trying to exalt Somebody. Jim Elliot

Thank you, Fontaine & CRI, for hosting us and allowing Rafa to take care of us for the weekend. A special thank you to Rafa Miranda for giving up your weekend to take us everywhere we wanted to go. By the end of the week, you were truly a part of our team! We appreciate all CRI does for us while we’re there.

During our time in Guatemala, we had the privilege of visiting a home construction site where a local ministry partners with short-term teams to build safe, dignified housing for families in need—often in just two days! Throughout the trip, we traveled to several communities, met lots of great people and witnessed the lasting, transformative impact Partners in Mission is making in the lives of so many.

The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. Luke 10:2

Baby “D” was rescued when his mother tried to sell him for a can of beer

This little girl had been at Mimi’s House the longest, most of her life. She was just adopted a few days ago! I wish you could see the joy in her face as she looks up to her new mother. I will miss her hugs, but I know she’s going to be so happy with a permanent family!
